The new Thornhill Park school is set to open in Term 1, 2023.

The Rockbank Murray Road Primary School (interim name) will provide another educational option for our growing community only mere minutes from Balmoral Estate.

Located at 61 Baxterpark Drive in Thornhill Park, the school will include:

• A community hub equipped with a competition-grade gym, canteen, music and drama areas.
• Two outdoor hard courts, a sports field and a bike shed.
• An administration and library building with staff offices and amenities.
• A speciality learning building for food technology and science classes.
• Two general learning classrooms with flexible and collaborative teaching spaces.

Darryl Spiteri, an experienced educator, has been appointed as principal of the primary school. Darryl has a background in fostering, school culture and is keen to bring his local knowledge to the new Thornhill Park Primary School.

Construction is well underway, with foundations and frames for the school already in place.

Enrolment information will be shared later this year, and we’ll continue to provide updates as the primary school progresses.
