The location for the future Melton Hospital has just been revealed! 245-267 Ferris Road, Cobblebank is set to become home to this new $1 billion, 24-hour hospital just 1.5 kilometres from Balmoral Estate.

Plans are now officially underway for the State Government to acquire the land for the world-class public hospital within the future Cobblebank Metropolitan Activity Centre. The site is conveniently located just a few steps away from the new Cobblebank train station, close to the Western Freeway and beside the Cobblebank Village shopping centre. The $1 billion project, which is expected to house an emergency department as well as maternity, children’s and other health services, is also expected to bring 4000 new jobs into the community.

$77.4 million has already been dedicated to the planning of the project; meanwhile, funds for the build stage of this fantastic local development are expected to be included in the next state budget. Construction of Melton Hospital should begin in 2022 with a plan for it to be completely open and fully operational by 2026/2027.
